Baseball Game Preview: New Knoxville Rangers vs. Minster Wildcats

New Knoxville is 0-6 against Minster since May of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Rangers will look to defend their home field against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. New Knoxville has given up an average of 11.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

New Knoxville is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 13-0 to Fort Recovery.

Meanwhile, Minster waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Cardinals a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Minster's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for New Knoxville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

New Knoxville suffered a grim 16-3 defeat to Minster in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Rangers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
