Baseball Game Recap: Ashley Screaming Eagle vs. New Bern Bears

Ashley had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let the New Bern Bears onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Screaming Eagle have posted since May 7, 2024.

Drew Potter was excellent, going a perfect1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Jahmeer Damon was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Ashley will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cleveland at 6:30 p.m. on February 28th. As for New Bern, they will challenge Dixon at 7:00 p.m. on February 24th.
