Basketball Game Preview: Chelan Mountain Goats vs. Cashmere Bulldogs

Chelan hasn't had much luck against Cashmere recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Chelan Mountain Goats just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Cashmere Bulldogs at 3:45 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Chelan sitting on six straight victories and Cashmere on four.

Chelan is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Manson 70-24. Given the Mountain Goats' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Trojans are ranked 303rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Cashmere was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Wahluke 68-7. That 61 point margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Chelan's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Cashmere, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Chelan was taken down by Cashmere 63-19 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Chelan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
