Recap: Providence Prep Rams vs. St. Mary's
The Providence Prep Rams can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They breezed by St. Mary on the road to the tune of 57-25. The score was close at the half, but Providence Prep pulled away in the second half with 37 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Providence Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maddox Billman, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Billman hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Clark Morrison, who scored 18 points.
St. Mary's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kolbe Barta, who scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Reyes, who scored six points.
Providence Prep is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for St. Mary's, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Providence Prep will be playing at home against Grace Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Grace Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for St. Mary's, they will head out on the road to challenge Sterling Classical at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
