Baseball Recap: Kewanee Comes Up Short

Kewanee managed to slip by Orion the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Boilermakers lost 20-9 to the Chargers on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the Boilermakers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Ben Taylor was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ace LaFollette, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs.

Kewanee's record now sits at 6-9. As for Orion, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kewanee will square off against Mendota at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Orion, they will take on Knoxville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
