Steamboat Springs has gone a perfect 5-0 against Basalt recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Steamboat Springs Sailors will venture away from home to take on the Basalt Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. Steamboat Springs will be strutting in after a win while Basalt will be coming in after a loss.

Last Saturday, Steamboat Springs was able to grind out a solid victory over Rifle, taking the game 54-44.

Meanwhile, Basalt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 73-69 heartbreaker at the hands of Fort Lupton. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (62), the Longhorns still had to take the loss.

Steamboat Springs' win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Basalt, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.

Steamboat Springs strolled past Basalt in their previous matchup on February 7th by a score of 57-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Steamboat Springs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
