Soccer Game Preview: Alliance vs. Aquinas

The Alliance Aviators will challenge the Aquinas Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Alliance fell victim to Marlington and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Dukes, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for Alliance in their meetings with Marlington: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Aquinas also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 6-0 to Tuslaw on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that Aquinas have lost by exactly six goals.

Alliance's loss dropped their record down to 7-4-3. As for Aquinas, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.

Everything went Alliance's way against Aquinas in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Alliance made off with a 9-0 victory. Do the Aviators have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
