Basketball Recap: Braddock Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Braddock fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Ferguson on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 62-61 to the Falcons. Surprisingly, this marked the Bulldogs' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Braddock's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fabian Ordonez, who posted 18 points. Josiah Jean was another key player, dropping a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ferguson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jose Bueno, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 14 boards. Those 15 points gave Bueno a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelen Ramos, who scored 18 points and three steals.

Braddock has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. Ferguson's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5.

Coming up, Braddock will head out to challenge Miami Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Victors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.86 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Ferguson, they will be home for the holidays to greet Doral Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Firebirds will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
