Softball Recap: Geneseo Beats Letchworth for Their Third Straight Victory

Geneseo hadn't done well against Letchworth recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Blue Devils came out on top against the Legends by a score of 7-2. The win was just business as usual for the Blue Devils, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Adelyn McDonald made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. McDonald was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

In other batting news, Maddie Reitz was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Evie Warner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Geneseo's record is now 3-0. As for Letchworth, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Geneseo will welcome Keshequa at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Letchworth, they will head out on the road to square off against Holley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
