Flag Football Recap: Cailyn Lish's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Burlingame over Oakland Tech

Burlingame was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 26-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oakland Tech Bulldogs.

Burlingame's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cailyn Lish, who picked up 90 receiving yards and one touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 50 yards.

Burlingame didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brooke Schuman and Haleh Ansari.

Burlingame's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Oakland Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6-1 record this season.

Burlingame wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 42-0 win against Mountain House on the 18th. As for Oakland Tech, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 40-18 defeat against Clayton Valley Charter on the 18th.
