Volleyball Recap: Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers vs. Collins Hill Eagles
Atlanta Classical Academy lost against Collins Hill last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cavaliers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Atlanta Classical Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-27, 15-10.
Alyse King paced Atlanta Classical Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. King got some help from Anna Gray Hart and her 17 assists. Kat Mooney controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Abby Kim was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 19 digs. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played.
Atlanta Classical Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for Collins Hill, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-18.
