Basketball Recap: Myrtle Point Takes a Loss

Myrtle Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. 2025 welcomed they with a 58-38 loss courtesy of the Siuslaw Vikings. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-37 back in December of 2024.

Myrtle Point's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Siuslaw, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Myrtle Point didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-32 defeat against South Umpqua on the 4th. As for Siuslaw, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 70-23 win against La Pine on the 4th.
