Volleyball Recap: Peyton Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Peyton had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Elbert Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Peyton took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 14-25, 22-25, 25-14, 15-13.

When it comes to explaining why Peyton lost, don't look at Brynlee Ray. Despite the final result, she had 32 digs.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Elbert, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Peyton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Mancos on the 29th. As for Elbert, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Pikes Peak Christian on the 28th.
