Basketball Game Preview: Naperville Central Redhawks vs. Neuqua Valley Wildcats

The Naperville Central Redhawks will head out to challenge the Neuqua Valley Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Naperville Central and seven for Neuqua Valley.

On Monday, Naperville Central ended up a good deal behind Yorkville and lost 67-53.

Meanwhile, Neuqua Valley came up short against St. Charles North on Monday and fell 43-36. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the North Stars are ranked 31st).

Naperville Central's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Neuqua Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15.

Naperville Central came up short against Neuqua Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 59-51. Can Naperville Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
