Volleyball Recap: Springboro Panthers vs. Lebanon Warriors

Springboro unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lebanon Warriors on Saturday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

Springboro was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Lebanon work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 26-24, 20-25, 25-11.

Bre Given paced Springboro's offense, picking up 16 kills. Given got some help from Lily Mercer and her 29 assists. Reese Aracri controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Lebanon was led to victory by Dillyn Tucker and Annie Milton. Tucker had 16 digs, while Milton had six digs and two aces. That's the most digs Tucker has posted since back in September of 2024.

Springboro has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Lakota East on the 19th. As for Lebanon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Milford on the 19th.
