Softball Recap: Rigby Takes a Loss

Rigby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Hillcrest Knights, falling 17-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-11 two weeks ago.

Rigby saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Jensen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 5-7. As for Hillcrest, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rigby will welcome Blackfoot at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Broncos have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Hillcrest, they will be playing at home against Century at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
