Football Recap: Shadow Ridge Piles Up the Points Against Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas

Shadow Ridge waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They claimed a resounding 47-6 victory over the Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas Falcons. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-0.

It was another big night for Savanna McDow, who rushed for 88 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. Chloe Covington was another key player, picking up 17 receiving yards and one touchdown.

McDow was just one part of a punishing run game: Shadow Ridge was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 300 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Shadow Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Breanna Nielsen led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.

Shadow Ridge's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.2 points per game. As for Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Shadow Ridge is taking a road trip to challenge Centennial at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Shadow Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 29.1 points per game this season. Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
