Baseball Recap: Palmer Ridge Takes a Loss

After flying high against Grand Junction Central last Friday, Palmer Ridge came back down to earth. The Palmer Ridge Bears lost 12-3 to the Palisade Bulldogs on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Palmer Ridge saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fletcher Sexton, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. Another was Cole Richert, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Palmer Ridge now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Palisade, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Palmer Ridge will square off against Canon City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palisade, they will face off against Fossil Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
