The Glennallen Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 49-17 victory over Ninilchik. That 49-17 margin sets a new team best for Glennallen this season.
It was another big night for Cheyenne Fields, who scored 17 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Glennallen's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alianna Stone, who scored nine points.
When it comes to explaining why Ninilchik lost, one person who can't be blamed is Riley Tucker. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points. The game was Tucker's third in a row with at least ten points.
Glennallen's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-2. As for Ninilchik, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glennallen will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Cook Inlet Academy at 9:00 a.m. on January 6th. As for Ninilchik, they will head out on the road to face off against Homer at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
