Soccer Recap: Gateway College Preparatory Takes a Loss

If Gateway College Preparatory was feeling good fresh off their 4-1 takedown of Austin Achieve on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gators lost 7-0 to the Legacy Ranch Wranglers on Friday. While losing is never fun, Gateway College Preparatory can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 614th, while Legacy Ranch are ranked 213th).

Gateway College Preparatory's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-3. As for Legacy Ranch, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Gateway College Preparatory is set to face off against their familiar foe Eastside Early College at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Legacy Ranch will square off against rival Florence at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
