Bear Lake came tearing into Wednesday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Preston Indians with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win two weeks ago.

While Bear Lake won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-16.

Halle Wells paced Bear Lake's offense, picking up 12 kills. Wells got some help from Emmie Sharp and her 35 assists. Wells also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with KortLyn Skinner, each putting up two.

Bear Lake's victory bumped their record up to 28-3. As for Preston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-7.

Coincidentally, Bear Lake and Preston will both be playing American Falls the next time they take the court. The Indians will head out to face the Beavers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bears will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
