Softball Recap: Lucas Comes Up Short

Lucas lost to Willard back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cubs lost 30-8 to the Crimson Flashes. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Myah Midkiff was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Foss, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Lucas' loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Willard, they pushed their record up to 7-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Lucas has already played their next contest (against Bucyrus), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Willard, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Huron at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
