Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Washington

After losing to Galileo the last time they met, Washington decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Washington Eagles secured a 59-55 W over the Galileo Lions on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Washington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ezana Hailu out in front who posted 12 points in addition to five boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave Hailu a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleo Chin, who went 5-for-11 en route to 15 points.

Washington was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They are 21-4 when they've passed the ball that well.

Washington's victory bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Galileo, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 17-14 record.

Coming up, Washington will face off against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Galileo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
