Softball Recap: Susquenita's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to 13

Susquenita strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let the East Juniata Tigers get on the board and left with a 19-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 back in March.

Braelyn Prinz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Susquenita got a massive performance out of Tierney Stuempfle, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Ayahna Fleisher, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

Susquenita always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2024.

Susquenita's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.6 runs over those games. As for East Juniata, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Susquenita and East Juniata will both be playing Newport the next time they take the field. The Blackhawks will head out to face the Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
