Baseball Recap: Lawson Takes a Loss

Lawson has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.52 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against Benton, falling 19-3. It was the first time this season that Lawson let down their fans at home.

Lawson's defeat dropped their record down to 20-5. As for Benton, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-12.

Coming up, Lawson is taking a road trip to face off against Brookfield at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Bulldogs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Benton, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-0 loss against Savannah on the 15th.
