It was a good run, but Berks Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Linville Hill Warriors by a score of 63-61. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Saints came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Warriors are ranked 106th).

Linville Hill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Derian Peterseim led the charge by going 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points. Stephen Smucker was another key player, going 8 of 11 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds.

Berks Catholic's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4. As for Linville Hill, their victory was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-2.
