Basketball Preview: Brookfield Bobcats vs. Immaculate Mustangs
The Brookfield Bobcats will head out on the road to challenge the Immaculate Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Brookfield is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Brookfield scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Stratford by a score of 68-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, Immaculate's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight defeat. They took a 54-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kolbe-Cathedral.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kendra Foy, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Miller, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Brookfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Immaculate, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 9-7.
Brookfield didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Mustangs in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 52-46 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brookfield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
