Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Solanco couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost to the Bishop McDevitt Crusaders on the road by a 38-20 margin on Friday. The Golden Mules' loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Solanco still got an impressive performance from Kris Burgos-Wise, who rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also picked up 30 receiving yards. Burgos-Wise also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, defending one pass and snagged an interception.

Bishop McDevitt got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jerome Larue Jr. out in front who rushed for 100 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries. What's more, Larue Jr. posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September. Another player making a difference was Jontai Quick, who picked up 170 receiving yards and one score.

Solanco's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Bishop McDevitt, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Solanco does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop McDevitt, they will take on Peters Township at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Crusaders 12.6, the Indians 6.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
