The Healdsburg Greyhounds will take on the St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Healdsburg is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season.
Healdsburg is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Ukiah on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Healdsburg lost 66-42 to Ukiah. The Greyhounds have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Healdsburg saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ethan Overdorf dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 boards. Overdorf also set a new season-high mark in steals with three. Vincenzo Loupy was another key player, putting up five points and five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Healdsburg smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, St. Vincent de Paul posted their biggest win since December 3, 2024 on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Elsie Allen 69-32. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 26 points or more this season.
St. Vincent de Paul's win came from a few key players Healdsburg will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jack Ellis, who made all 5 shots he took to post 11 points along with seven boards and five steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Dunaj, who posted 12 points.
St. Vincent de Paul has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Healdsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Healdsburg took a serious blow against St. Vincent de Paul in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 49-22. Thankfully for Healdsburg, Cole Williams (who went 8 of 17 on his way to 20 points and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
