Softball Game Preview: Crescent Tigers vs. Chesnee Eagles

The Crescent Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Chesnee Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Crescent needed a bit of extra time to put away West-Oak. They won by a run and slipped past the Warriors 11-10. Surprisingly, this marked the sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Meanwhile, Chesnee waltzed into their game on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Bengal get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. Considering the Eagles have won ten contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Crescent's win bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Chesnee, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.

Crescent beat Chesnee 10-5 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
