Basketball Recap: Eldorado Falls Despite Big Games from Jordan Jones and Jake Phelps

Eldorado lost against Fairfield two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eldorado Eagles came up short against the Fairfield Mules, falling 65-43. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eldorado's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jake Phelps, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 13 points, and Jordan Jones, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 10 points and five rebounds.

Eldorado's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Fairfield, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Eldorado will square off against Triad at 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Fairfield has already played their next game, a 42-40 loss against Massac County on the 28th.
