Volleyball Recap: Golden Valley Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Golden Valley and Canyon had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Cowboys by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their meetings with the Cowboys: they've now lost three in a row.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as three sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 26-28, 27-25, 24-26, 15-9.

Golden Valley now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Canyon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-6.

Golden Valley has already played their next matchup (against Saugus), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Canyon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Valencia on the 17th.
