It was a good run, but Neumann Regional Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. The matchup between them and the Northwest Area Rangers didn't end well, with the Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights falling 66-47. While losing is never fun, the Golden Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 580th, while the Rangers are ranked 171st).

Neumann Regional Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Andrew Walter, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daiton Thompson, who put up 14 points.

Neumann Regional Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-9. As for Northwest Area, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neumann Regional Academy will face off against Montgomery at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Neumann Regional Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.9 points per game this season. As for Northwest Area, they will challenge Columbia Montour Vo-Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northwest Area knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Columbia Montour Vo-Tech likes a good challenge.
