Softball Recap: Chapel Hill Comes Up Short

Chapel Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Temple Tigers, falling 14-8. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Jayda Young was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Taryn Stewart was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run.

Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Temple, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Chapel Hill will square off against Woodland at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Temple, they will take on Rockmart in a tournament on Friday.
