It was a good run, but Johnston unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Kennedy Cougars by a score of 64-61. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Dragons have suffered since December 8, 2023.

Johnston's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2. As for Kennedy, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Johnston will welcome Waukee at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Waukee's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. As for Kennedy, they will face off against Xavier at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kennedy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Xavier likes a good challenge.
