Basketball Recap: Caden Holly's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Amarillo Collegiate Academy over Pringle-Morse

Amarillo Collegiate Academy lost against Pringle-Morse back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Amarillo Collegiate Academy Eagles took a hard 70-56 fall against the Pringle-Morse Cougars. The Eagles were down 57-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Amarillo Collegiate Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Caden Holly, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 14 points and six assists. Ethan Jaramillo was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 15 boards.

Even though they lost, Amarillo Collegiate Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Amarillo Collegiate Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Pringle-Morse, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amarillo Collegiate Academy will challenge West Texas T at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in West Texas T's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches. As for Pringle-Morse, they will face off against Adrian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
