East Lake is 9-0 against Dunedin since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the East Lake Eagles duke it out with the Dunedin Falcons at 7:45 p.m. East Lake is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, East Lake came up short against Boca Ciega and fell 53-40.

Meanwhile, Dunedin suffered their closest defeat since January 24, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of St. Petersburg Catholic by a score of 47-44. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Barons 14-10 in the first quarter.

Dunedin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for East Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

Everything came up roses for East Lake against Dunedin in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, as the squad secured a 67-31 win. Will East Lake repeat their success, or does Dunedin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
