Basketball Game Preview: Beddingfield Bruins vs. Spring Creek Gators

Beddingfield has gone a perfect 7-0 against Spring Creek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Beddingfield Bruins just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Spring Creek Gators at 6:00 p.m. Beddingfield will be strutting in after a win while Spring Creek will be coming in after a loss.

Beddingfield is coming into the contest on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They enjoyed a cozy 62-45 win over Princeton on Thursday.

Natasha Marshall was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 21 points and ten assists. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Shanice Campbell was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Spring Creek took a blow against Goldsboro on Tuesday, falling 65-14. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 435th, while the Cougars are ranked 67th).

Beddingfield's victory bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Spring Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Everything went Beddingfield's way against Spring Creek when the teams last played back in January, as Beddingfield made off with a 67-44 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Beddingfield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
