Volleyball Recap: Ripley Vikings vs. Hoover Huskies

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ripley can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Hoover Huskies on Wednesday. The Vikings have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-13.

Tiffany Fisher paced Ripley's offense, picking up nine kills. Fisher got some help from Kaydence Sheppard and her ten assists. Kate Burdette controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Hoover's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brianna Adkins, who had three digs and 16 assists. Braelyn Adkins was another key player, getting 13 digs.

Ripley's loss dropped their record down to 18-16-4. As for Hoover, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 46-6-1.
