Recap: Spring Lions vs. Cypress Creek Cougars
The Spring Lions waltzed into Thursday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 51-43 win over Cypress Creek. For Spring, this counts as revenge for the 65-52 defeat Cypress Creek walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2021.
Spring's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryce Archie, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cedric Richardson, who scored 12 points.
Spring is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Cypress Creek, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Spring is on the road again on Friday and play against Grand Oaks at 2:00 p.m. on December 1st. Grand Oaks will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 998th, while Spring is ranked 237th). As for Cypress Creek, they will face off against Waller at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
