Baseball Recap: Larkin Takes a Loss

Larkin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Round Lake Panthers.

Larkin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miguel Saavedra, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Saavedra has hit this season.

Larkin's record is now 2-13. As for Round Lake, their victory ended a 25-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Larkin will face off against Fenton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Round Lake, they will challenge Lakes at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
