Otay Ranch is a perfect 3-0 against Mar Vista since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Mustangs will host the Mariners at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Otay Ranch managed to slip by Cathedral Catholic the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mustangs came up short against the Dons on Thursday, falling 8-1. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Otay Ranch saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylin Phillips, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Mar Vista lost 11-4 to Academy of Our Lady of Peace on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Mariners in their meetings with the Pilots: they've now lost three in a row.

Otay Ranch now has a losing record of 7-8-1. As for Mar Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.

Otay Ranch skirted past Mar Vista 9-8 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Mariners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
