Football Recap: Durfee Comes Up Short

Durfee lost against Dartmouth back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hilltoppers took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. While losing is never fun, the Hilltoppers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Indians are ranked 49th).

This is the second loss in a row for Durfee and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Dartmouth, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Durfee will square off against Somerset Berkley Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dartmouth, they will take on Old Rochester Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
