Baseball Recap: Octorara Area Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Octorara Area's offense. They fell just short of the Solanco Golden Mules by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The Braves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Mules earlier this season, when they won 9-0.

Octorara Area has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Solanco, they moved to 9-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Octorara Area will venture away from home to take on Manheim Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Barons have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Solanco, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lebanon at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
