Basketball Recap: Florence's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Florence's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past the Palo Verde Titans with points to spare, taking the game 39-23. The win was some much needed relief for the Gophers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Florence's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-16. As for Palo Verde, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Florence will challenge Globe at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Florence is on a four-game streak of home losses, Globe a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change. As for Palo Verde, they will square off against Thatcher at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Palo Verde is facing Thatcher at the right time seeing as Thatcher is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
