Volleyball Game Preview: Menaul Panthers vs. Tatum Coyotes

After both having extra time off, the Menaul Panthers and the Tatum Coyotes will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.

Menaul came up short against Legacy Academy on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

While Menaul ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Tatum posted their closest victory since September 30th on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past Eunice 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Coyotes in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won three in a row.

Tatum took Eunice into a fifth set where they got it done with a 11-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 24-26, 17-25, 25-15, 15-4.

Tatum's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Menaul, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

Menaul took their win against Tatum when the teams last played back in November of 2023 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
