Apex Friendship and Green Level are an even 3-3-1 against one another since March of 2022, but likely not for long. The Patriots will venture away from home to face off against the Gators at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Apex Friendship is headed into the matchup having not lost since April 16 and will look to keep things rolling. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over Cary on Monday. Given Apex Friendship's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Cary are ranked 365th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Apex Friendship's offense was hitting Cary from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Paige Frasz led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Green Level kept a clean sheet against Middle Creek on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 5-0 victory. The win continues a trend for Green Level in their matchups with Middle Creek: they've now won four in a row.

Apex Friendship is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those six games. As for Green Level, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.

Apex Friendship couldn't quite get it done against Green Level when the teams last played back in April as they fell 2-0. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
