Volleyball Recap: Maclay Marauders vs. Bolles Bulldogs
Maclay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bolles Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Marauders of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2019.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-8.
Bolles got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lily Adams out in front who had four digs and four aces. That's the most aces Adams has posted since back in August of 2023. Another player making a difference was Penelope Kavalieros, who had nine digs and three aces.
Maclay's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Bolles, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 5-8 record.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maclay will challenge Florida State University High School at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bolles, they will face off against Episcopal School of Jacksonville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
