Wadsworth has gone 9-1 against Twinsburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Wadsworth Grizzlies will head out to challenge the Twinsburg Tigers at 1:00 p.m. Wadsworth is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Last Saturday, Wadsworth beat Westlake 53-43. Given the Grizzlies' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Demons are ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Twinsburg unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak last Saturday. They took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stow-Munroe Falls.

Wadsworth will need focus on slowing down Jaci Hutton, one of several Twinsburg players who made an impact when they last played. She went 7 for 9 on her way to 18 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Hutton a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Dye, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Wadsworth pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.2 points per game. As for Twinsburg, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.

Wadsworth couldn't quite finish off Twinsburg when the teams last played back in January of 2024 and fell 28-25. Can Wadsworth avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
