De La Salle piles up the points against James Logan

Recap: De La Salle Spartans vs. James Logan Colts

The De La Salle Spartans waltzed into Friday's matchup with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat James Logan 48-20 at home. De La Salle might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four games by 21 points or more this season.

De La Salle was led to victory by Toa Faavae and Derrick Blanche. Faavae rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, while Blanche rushed for 165 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Kelley, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.

De La Salle has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 9-2 record. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 10-1 St. Mary's and 7-2 McClymonds (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 62.1% over those games). As for James Logan, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

De La Salle will square off against San Ramon Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in San Ramon Valley's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three games. James Logan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
